The Orgsmobile Paris crew goes for a ride around northern Paris in their 100% human-powered collaborative cardboard vehicle.
OM-HPV2 continued the collaborative-driving efforts from the first Orgsmobile Human Powered Vehicle Test in Malmö, but added a stylish and familiar shape in order to make it more accepted as a traffic object.
The OM-HPV2 was well received by both pedestrians and cars. The test-drive was laced with smiling faces, cheerful honking ,and respectful manouvering - motorists giving leeway to a slightly slower fellow vehicle.
The powerful booty bass stereo system had the nice side-effect of helping the crew in keeping a synchronised pace. Egyptian Lover's steady stomping And My Beat Goes Boom worked especially well.
When parked the OM-HPV2 is a surreal creature in the urban landscape; more volume than machine the generic, clean appearance of the vehicle makes it visible how large cars actually are and how much of public space we allow them to occupy.
Now perhaps you would like to make one for yourself?
